Claremont-Mudd-Scripps has won six West Region women’s titles, making them the winningest women’s team in the West Region.
Willamette University holds the record for the longest winning streak with six men’s West Region Championships. The Bearcat men won six titles in a row from 2002 to 2007.
The largest point total to win a Men’s West Region Team Championship is 76. Occidental College and Colorado College tied for first in 2011 with 76 points.
Dave Davis from the University of Puget Sound is the West Region’s only NCAA Champion. In 1999 he won both the West Region title and the national crown.
In 1995, J.J. Castner from the University of California San Diego, became the first and only male to win three West Region Championships. He won three in a row from 1993-1995 and was a two-time All-American
In 2007 Willamette University’s Sarah Zerzan became the first West Region women to win back to back NCAA Championships. She is also the fourth women to win three West Region Championships
in 2001 Dana Boyle from the University of Puget Sound was the first West Region women to win a NCAA Championship. She was also the west region champion that year.
